Hi,
I have a few devices in my environment that are failing to update their endpoint protection and software updates. I have tried resolving by reinstalling the client, and also by deleting the\system32\grouppolicy\machine\registry.pol file but to no avail.
A typical error in the 'WUAHandler.log' is :
Failed to save WUAgent policy with updated WSUS Server. Error = 0x80004005. WUAHandler 15/05/2016 11:32:59 1592 (0x0638)
Failed to Add Update Source for WUAgent of type (2) and id ({53F67ED5-B3F3-43FD-8CA7-6A3489409AAC}). Error = 0x80004005. WUAHandler 15/05/2016 11:32:59 6540 (0x198C)
and in the 'EndpointProtectionAgent.log' :
Failed to apply the policy C:\WINDOWS\CCM\EPAMPolicy.xml with error (0x80004005). EndpointProtectionAgent 16/05/2016 07:22:58 5584 (0x15D0)
As this happens for devices across multiple OU's in the domain, and on different sites, I do not believe this to be a Active Directory issue - but does it point to a GPO/AD based issue on the local client, rather than an issue with the SCCM client?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
