We are noticing software updates are downloaded completely after multiple scans.

So we have to wait multiple MWs for the machine to be able to become compliant.

Every Month we are deploying at least 10-15 different updates(Office, Adobe, OS Patches etc..,)

I am running version 1606 trying to upgrade to 1802. I understand that the best and most common way to upgrade to the latest version of SCCM is to use the Updates and Servicing module. I also understand that the alternative is to use Offline Mode and send telemetry data to Microsoft using the service connection tool.

However, the system that I'm upgrading is an offline system that doesn't have an internet connection and I can't pull files off of the system, which means I can't pull the telemetry data from the system.

From my research it appears that there's no way for me to upgrade this system any other way. I have the install media for 1702 and 1802 but they're pretty much useless to me right now. If sending telemetry data is the only way to upgrade the system then this is going to be a huge problem for high-security offline systems.

I've been fighting with this for over a week. Anybody have any ideas?

I created software updates group with and deployed in 10 machine

The software update group having the patch from January to August 2018

Schedule :

Available at :  10:00 AM (sept 28, 2018)

Deadline  :  9:00 PM (sept 28, 2018)

Installation are successful , but I need a specific  time start executing the patch and when it end as well

considering I don't have access to the machine

Now , I want to know when the patches started and end , for the below

which report that will provide me requirement

I was checking through the compliance report for Software Update and I find large number showing for "pending reboot status", when actually was not the case. The last state time however is a month old. However, when I randomly checked the Updatestore.log file in the system, I see the state time is updated recently. I also run the script to force it though. However the state time in the report still shows a month old. it seem something not getting updated in the SQL, though the client shows updated time.

Any idea what can be done to get the correct report and most probably the latest State time.

I am a beginner in the SCCM administration and I wish to bring your expertise.

Issue: Clients do not get software updates from Configuration Manager
I deployed Windows updates to my Desktop collection(Windows 10 and 7) Using ADR. In this case, I see in In Progress section only Non-Compliant status. I ran many times the Software Update cycle on client, but no changes.

System Informations :
SCCM 2012 R2 SP1,WSUS and  BD installed on same machine (Windows server 2012 R2/ SQL Server Management studio 2012)

Notes:
- Software centre is not showing any update however updates are available on SCCM 

- There are no errors in UpdatesDeployment.log, UpdatesHandler.log, UpdatesStore.log, WUAHandler.log, or WindowsUpdate.log

- on the clientLocationServices.log \ WUAHandler.log both indicated the correct SUP was being targeted for scanning. Furthermore, those scans were taking place successfully after doing Software Updates Scan Cycle .

- UpdatesDeployment.log indicated the following:

‘Assignment ({xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx}) already in progress state (AssignmentStateDetecting). No need to evaluate UpdatesDeploymentAgent’
Evaluation initiated for (0) assignments.

- WSUS Synchronization version Catalog: MinSourceVersion = ContentVersion 

- I have refresh compliance state using https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc146437.aspx  ( Creating an UpdatesStore instance by using the UpdatesStore COM class and the RefreshServerComplianceState method).

- No Deadline for installation or reboot.

- GPOs:

01- Configure Automatic Updates policy -> Disabled
02- Specify Intranet Service of Update Service -> managed by SCCM (no GPO enforced)
03- Allow Signed Updates from a Microsoft Update Service Intranet Location -> Enabled

Recently I configured SCCM to update workstations and servers via software update point. It worked properly 3 months. I deployed updates on test user group and after some time I deployed on production.

But all September 2018 Microsoft updates for Windows 8.1, 10, Office 2013, 2016 product are non compliant when I deployed on test computer group. 

I can't find resolution this problem on Internet.

Hello,

Is there a way to remotely force a client to run all of its configuration baseline evaluations? I use the right-click tools on a regular bases but it doesn't look like that's a function they provide.

I have about 15 computers where some software updates are stuck on "Past due - will be installed.  The Deployment Status states it is "In Progress" with status message "Waiting for maintenance window before installing".  I do not have Maintenance windows set. I double checked this by running the report, "Maintenance windows available to a specified client".  In addition, I checked of "Software updates installation" under User Experience - Deadline behavior in the deployment package which my understanding is that will install the updates outside any existing Maintenance Window.

I should mention over 400 computers are not getting this weirdness, only about 15.  

Any ideas?

Hi I am using SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 and SCCM server OS windows 2008 R2 WSUS version 3.2.7600.226 i had selected Windows 10, Windows 10 LTSB products able to see  Windows 10 patches but windows 10 machines are unable to scan throws error 0x8024401c , updatedeployment , scansgent, windows update, WUA hanndler throws same error

client able to ping WSUS or SCCM server , port 8530 is open , able to access WSUS xml file not sure what cloud be the issue any idea why scan is fails needs to install any hotfix on SCCM server?
