Software Updates - catching up

Hi,

I'm using SCCM to deploy updates in a test environment. Currently I have two ADR's; one for EP definitons and one for Patch Tuesday.

The EP ADR seems like its working well, and delivers definitions atleast on request (probably automaticly aswell). The Patch Tuesday probably works, but I have to wait until next patch day to be sure.

HOWEVER: I am used to update 3-400 updates after a clean win install. Which to me seems obvious for 'catching up' all the updates in between now and when the install image is dated. When I now enter a fresh machine into the SCCM update, all it gets is the EP definitions, and hopefully the Patch Tuesday when it arrives.

Don't I need to 'catch up' all the past updates to my fresh clients? Is there any automated way of doing this? New updates are fine, the problem is the ones already released. I'm betting that if I change the windows update server in regedit I will get houndreds of available updates in Windows Update.

Thanks in advance!
