I have a problem with my SCCM2012 client not able to report back to SCCM2012 with Microsoft updates status. I Still have SCCM2007 infrastructure.Below is the steps i did.
1.Installing SCCM and SQL Prerequisite on a New SCCM2012 Box running Windows 2012R2.
2. Install SQL2012 with SP1.
3. INstall SCCM2012 SP2 using SC2012_SP2_Configmgr.exe file
4. Install SCCM2012_R2_SP1 using SC2012_R2_SP1_Configmgr.exe file and now my current version of SCCM 2012 R2 Sp1 (5.0.8239.1000).
5. Opened all SCCM Ports as requirement.
6. Configure System discovery
7. Add boundaries and this time im using IP address ( static ip address) to only Pilot systems.
8 Link boundaries with Boundary group
9.Enable Client push and machines install upgraded from SCCM2007 to SCCM2012 client.
10. Add SUP roles and use SQL Database
11. Add SUP and Configure SUP and use port 8530 and 8531.Select applicable Categories ( Critical,Definitions updates and Security Updates) and Products applicable to my environment
12. Add Forefront Role.
13.Select Synchronize Software updates.
14. Customize Devise client settings and deploy t it to the client
15. Create Client Antimalware and deploy it to the client.
16. Machine install SCEP2012 Client
N.B: I have stopped all packages and advertisement on all SCCM 2007 Server. Stop all services. the server was never used for Microsoft updates. I have also stopped old WSUS server.I have removed all old GPO which was pointing to old wsus Server.
At this moment only 2 machines are requesting for Updates and not requesting SCEP2012 Definitions updates. Other 7 machines are not requesting any updates. this has been going on for more than 24 hours. I have checked all the logs and there is no error.machines are pointing to new WSUS Server which is SCCM2012 Server.Changed Client setting for Software updates to scan every 1 hours for now. while busy typing, another machine just report back but something is wrong.
