Why does "Active time (UTC):" time show different times in my synchronization failure alerts?

My synchs keep failing at midnight every day and when I receive the email alerts its shows different times for the "Active time (UTC):". 

Can someone please explain to me why this time is always different when the synch fails at midnight?
