Why does my SCCM 2012 server marks updates "Not Required" to my Windows 2012 R2 Standard Servers?

Hi,

This is a follow up issue from the original thread I posted here https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/52d8de33-ddc1-4c4d-9270-5084d3fdc46f/windows-2012-r2-standard-server-not-getting-updates-from-sccm-2012-sp1?forum=configmanagersecurity But since it is a new issue now, I am starting a new thread.

I have SCCM 2012 Sp1, v5.0.7804.1400 installed on Windows 2008.  All functions (Endpoint, SUS, OS Deployment, etc.) are working perfectly with our existing 2008 servers and Windows 7 machines.

But how come the updates listed in my SUP catalog shows 0 required to any of my Windows 2012 R2 Standard? By the way, this is not something that just stopped working. Win 2012 are 2 new servers.

I confirmed couple of updates that should be due and applicable to my Win 2012 updates but they are showing as 0 required to my Win 2012 server.  Therefore, my Win 2012 servers are not getting any updates at all.

My Win 2012 servers are also getting correct policies and Management points.  In fact, it got Endpoint deployment from SCCM but not SUP updates.

Please help.  Thanks!
