System Center endpoint protection for OSX updates

hello all,  Im testing System Center Endpoint protection for OSX,  I however i am required to turn off auto updates, i see where I can manually check for updates, but nothing about auto_dates. Does any one know if the client checks for updates automatically and if so can I disable it?
